Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, Bharath Senior Secondary School was established in 1961 under the dynamic leadership of the Late Sri V J K Dass. From a humble beginning as a nursery school in a thatched shed with a few children, the school has progressed to become an educational institution par excellence imparting quality education to students. Bharath believes in the holistic development of each child and gives equal importance to extracurricular activities arts, sports, value education, etc., staying true to our school motto "LEAD KINDLY LIGHT."

Children completing three years of age are admitted to Lower Kindergarten. They are trained in acquiring school-going habits and are also given training with play materials which help them gain general knowledge.

The school imparts education from Lower Kindergarten to Std. XII. It is co-educational and the medium of instruction is English. Under the CBSE scheme of studies, three languages are taught up to Std. VIII. For standards XI & XII, language is optional.

The school arranges excursions and takes the students to different places of interest. Independence Day, Children's Day, Teachers Day, Founders Day, Annual Sports, School Anniversary, etc. are celebrated and students are trained to display their talents on such occasions.
