The admission process for Army Primary School (APS) starts every year in the month of May &  School starts in the month of July. For admissions to Army Primary School School, parents should do the following steps:

1. Schedule an appointment with the admissions office of the School.

2. Get registration form either from the School office or from the School website.

3. Fill up the registration/admission form & submit with necessary documents to the admission office.

 

Admission Procedure

1. The following category of children will be admitted based on Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school.

2. Children who are coming on Pass/promoted TC from another APS can be admitted throughout the year

3. Children who have studied for 10 academic months in another APS, KV and are seeking admission after 31 Jul.

4. An evaluation exam may be taken in respect of these children to facilitate further academic coaching & allocation of sections.

5. However, such an evaluation test will not be treated as an admission test and a child entitled lateral admission will be allowed to attend classes within 48 hours of reporting to the school.

6. No Admission Test will be conducted for the students who are coming from Army Public Schools.

7. Tests will be considered for the students coming to class X or XII irrespective of the school.

 

Priority in admission

 

1. Children of serving/retired Army, Air Force, Navy, DSC personnel.

2. Children of civilians paid out of Defence Estimates, Para Military Forces including Coast Guard, GREF, MES, TA (when not embodied).

3. Grandchildren of serving/retired Army personnel. (however such children will be considered as a civilian).

4. Other children. (however such children will be considered as a civilian).

 

Eligibility:

 

# For Nursery admissions, the age limit is at least 2 years and six months as on May 31st.

# For 1st Class, the age limit is 5 years and six months as on May 31st.

 

Required Documents:

 

1. Completed registration form
2. Self-attested Copy of birth certificate
3. Transfer certificate (TC), mark sheet of the last exam.
4. Passport size photograph
