Army Public School Shillong
The Army Public School Shillong was founded on 22 March 1983 as Army School Shillong. The APS school was built with the purpose of bringing about the overall development of the candidate by promoting academic excellence, discipline, character, values & by fostering a spirit of national integration among children, mostly those of Army personnel.
Army Public School Shillong for Admission Academic Year 2020 – 2021
Priorities for Admission:-
1. Children of serving Army personnel including DSC (Ex-Army), children of Army widows and children of that TA personnel who have a minimum of 5 years embodied service.
2. Children of Ex-Army personnel retired/invalidated out on medical grounds with a pension, DSC personnel retired with a pension from DSC.
3. Children of serving Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
4. Children of retired Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
5. Children of Ex-Army personnel who left the Army with less than 10 years of service and not categorized as ESM.
6. Children of civilians paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), GREF, MES, TA (when not embodied).
7. Grandchildren of serving/retired Army Personnel.
Age Limit For Admission
Admission for 1st Class – Student should be completed Age is 5 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 2nd Class – Student should be completed Age is 6 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 3rd Class – Student should be completed Age is 7 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 4th Class – Student should be completed Age is 8 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 5th Class – Student should be completed Age is 9 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 6th Class – Student should be completed Age is 10 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 7th Class – Student should be completed Age is 11 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 8th Class – Student should be completed Age is 12 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 9th Class – Student should be completed Age is 13 Years of age on 31 March.
Admission for 10th Class – Student should be completed Age is 14 Years of age on 31 March.
