Priorities for Admission

 

1. Children of Army Widows and children of that TA personnel who have a minimum of Ten years embodied service with Children of serving Army personnel (including DSC).

2. Children of Army Ex-servicemen. DSC personnel which is retired with a pension

3. Children of Naval personnel and serving Air Force.

4. Children of Naval personnel and retired Air Force.

5. Children of ex-Army personnel who left the Army with less than Ten years of service and do not come under the category of ex-servicemen.

6. Children of civilians paid out of Defence Estimates, paramilitary forces, including MES, GREF, Coast Guard, TA (when not embodied).

7. Grandchildren of Army Serving/Army Ex-servicemen. No concession would, however, be granted in tuition and other fees and these would be the same as applicable to civilian category.

 

Admission Procedures and Admission Test

 

1. Following category of children will be admitted based on Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school, without an admission test:-

(i) Children who are coming on a pass/promoted TC from another Army Public School between the periods 01 Apr to 31 Jul.

(ii) Children who have studied for 10 academic months in another Army Public School and are seeking admission after 31 Jul, on the parent’s a transfer/posting.

(iii) An evaluation test may be taken in respect of these children to facilitate further academic coaching and allocation of sections. However, such an evaluation test will not be treated as an admission test & a child entitled admission will be allowed to attend classes within 48 hours of reporting to the APS school.

2. The new academic session for the year 2020-2021 will commence with effect from 01 April 2020. Thereafter, the school will be closed for summer vacation from 04th May 2020 to 23rd June 2020. The first admission test for classes I to XII will be held on 20th & 21st March
2020 in the school from 0830 hrs to 1200 hrs.

3. No admission test will be conducted for children seeking admission to Class I. However, there will be an interaction with students and parents for which there is no specific syllabus. This will be conducted on 20th March 2020 ( Friday) from 0830hrs onwards.

4. Registration & Admission forms are available in this school on payment of Rs 200/- for Category I to V and Rs 500/- for Category VI to VIII with effect from 17th Feb 2020. The filled application forms for class 1st – 12th to be submitted to Army Public School, Bolarum as per the schedule.

5. Syllabus for the admission test for various classes will be displayed on the school notice board. Specific clarifications, if any can be sought from the school office.

Class 1st – Interview (Oral) – English, Hindi & Maths
Class 2nd to 5th – English, Hindi & Maths
Class 6th – 10th – English, Hindi, Maths & Science
Class 11th – As per Stream
Class 12th – all subjects are given below –

(i) Science: English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Maths.
(ii) Commerce: English, Accounts, Business Studies, Economics & Maths.
(iii) Humanities: English, History, Political Science, Economics.

Documents for the Admission

1. For Class, 1st

 

# Father’s/Mother’s Service Certificate/Copy of Movement Order.

# Xerox copy of Birth Certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer & Extract Part second Order duly attested by Commanding Officer.

# Xerox copy of discharge certificate with the original discharge certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer which is returned after verification in case of Ex-serviceman.

# Xerox copy of Aadhar card of Father, Mother, and Student.
# In case of grandchildren of retired/serving personnel, the following certificates in support of the relationship:-

(a) Birth Certificate of the child’s parent (Mother/Father) who is related to serving/retired person.

(b) Birth Certificate of the child showing his/her relationship to the son/daughter of the Serving / retired person.

 

2. For Class 2nd to 8th

 

# TC’s in respect of students coming from APS schools other than Army Public Schools/KVs should be countersigned by the District Education Officer (DEO). The DEO of the district includes the inspector of Schools or any other authority nominated by the department/State Education in which the school is located. The endorsement should clearly indicate whether it is a recognized APS school.

# Father’s/Mother’s service Certificate/copy of Movement Order.

# For Class II to VI, if TC is from an unrecognized school, an affidavit regarding the exact date of birth along with the original transfer certificate.

# Xerox copy of discharge certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the original discharge certificate, which will be returned after verification.

# Birth Certificate of the child’s parent (Mother/Father) who is related to be a Serving / retired person.

# Birth Certificate of the child showing his/her relationship to the son/daughter of category second (Grandchildren of serving personnel/retired).

# Salary certificate by personnel of category VI.

# ) Latest Xerox copy of Report Card.

# Xerox copy of Aadhar card of Father, Mother, and Student.

 

3. For Class 9th to 12th

 

#  For Admission to class 9th to 12th CBSE Registration Card / Computer Generated Page duly signed by the School Principal.

#  Transfer certificate duly countersigned as per CBSE Rules.

#  Class 9th Grading Report Card/Mark Sheet/Class 11th Mark sheet.

# Move Order/Posting order/family dispatch order with reasons.

#  In the case of family dispatch, last station’s Quarter Vacation Report and Accommodation Proof in the present station is also submitted to the receiving schools during admission.

#  Xerox copy of Aadhar card of Father, Mother, and Student.
