Army Public School, (APS) Military Station Hisar is situated on the Delhi Road just 12 kilometers from Hisar. Army School, Hisar was founded on 14 September 1990 as Army School with only 250 students as a Primary School comprising of 6 Classes (from 1st to 6th). Over the years, the school has grown into a full-fledged. Senior Secondary School, comprising of Science & Commerce Streams 2367 pupils distributed in 63 sections. The APS school is housed in neat and clean buildings. There are well-equipped laboratories to cater to the needs of the individual students. The APS school library has a wide collection of general & reference books. At present, more than a dozen newspapers and periodicals are being subscribed to in order to keep students abreast of ever-growing knowledge and to prepare them for various competitions. Similar stress is laid on co-curricular activities.
Army Public School Hisar has adequate playgrounds for various sports and games. Admission to children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer from outstation can be made at any time during the year and they will not be denied admission, subject, however, to the stipulation laid down by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in Classes 11th-12th. Admission of civilian children to APS should not be at the cost of service children, the latter will never be refused admission. The strength of civilian children should not exceed 20% of the overall strength in a class after admitting all Army children and also catering for their midsession admissions. However, the percentage of civilian children may be increased as elaborated only after ensuring 100% admission of Army children with a few reserved seats for them for mid-session admissions.

Lateral Admission
Following category of children will be admitted based on (TC) Transfer Certificate from the previous school, without an admission test :
Children who are coming on Pass / promoted Transfer Certificate from another Army School / Army Public School.
Children who have studied for 10th academic months in another Army Public School / Army School are seeking admission after 31 July.
An evaluation test may be taken in respect of these children to facilitate another academic coaching & allocation of sections.
However, such an evaluation test will not be treated as an admission test and a candidates entitled lateral admission will be allowed to attend classes within 48 hours of reporting to the school.
TC from other School
The District Education Officer (DEO) of the District in which the school is located shall endorse TC in respect of students coming from schools other than Army Public School/APS/ KVs. Especially the endorsement should clearly mention, whether it is a recognized school.
Admission to Class XI
The minimum % for different streams for admission to class 11th are given below. Meeting the eligibility criteria on account of mini. percentages does not, however, guarantee admission. Admission will depend on the relative merit & availability of seats. No specific, weightage will be given for any stream to any Candidate.
