Established in the year 1983. Army KG School designated as Army School in the year 1999 and the school affiliated to the Center Board of Secondary Education in the year 2004. The school re-designated as Army Public School in 2011. Priorities

 

1. The priorities for admission subject to availability of seats will be as under:-

# Children of serving Army personnel including Digital Signature Certificate (Ex-Army), children of Army widows & children of that TA personnel who have a minimum of five years embodied service.

# Children of Ex-Army personnel retired/invalided out on medical grounds with a pension, Digital Signature Certificate personnel retired with a pension from DSC.

# Children of serving Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.

# Children of retired Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.

# Children of Ex-Army personnel who left the Army with less than Ten years of service & not categorized as ESM.

# Children of civilians paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), TA, MES, GREF, (when not embodied).

# Grandchildren of serving/retired Army Personnel.

# The school gives the priorities of admission shall be suitably moderated to bring parity and admission offered to wards of Army personnel by other services/organizations with the same station/location.

# If due to acute shortage of classrooms there is difficulty in adjusting all children of serving Army personnel, SAMC may further prioritize children at Article 192 (a) as follows:-

2. Transfer cases from Army Public School and private recognized schools.

(i) KV Transfer Cases.

(ii) Transfer cases from local schools within the city.

(iii) All other cases. In stations where there are two or more schools, a comprehensive policy will be drawn by respective BoA so that load is evenly distributed. It should be based on the proximity of the school from the residence and availability of seats.

 

3. Orientation Programmes (Parents/students) :-

 

Orientation programs for students are organized at the beginning of the session in the month of April

Open forum is organized in the month of Jun and Aug.

Feedback form for the parents is given during parent-teacher meet.

 

5. Age Limit:

 

Where state rules are not being enforced, the age of a student on the first admission to various classes in Army Public Schools shall be regulated as indicated below: For Admission The student should have completed the under-mentioned to Class years of age on 31 March of the year in which admission is sought.
